FAQs
FAQs In Special Glass.
What advanced glass processing capabilities do you offer?
We are a fully integrated deep-processing facility. Our capabilities include:
Tempering & Heat Strengthening: Flat and curved/bent glass.
Laminating: PVB, SentryGlas® (SGP), and acoustic interlayers.
Insulating (IGU): Double/triple glazing, silicone structural glazing (SSG), argon gas filling, and warm-edge spacers.
Surface Treatment: Ceramic frit, digital printing, acid etching, and anti-reflective/anti-fingerprint coatings.
Precision Fabrication: CNC edgework, water-jet notch cutting, and countersunk hole drilling.
What is your maximum capability for Jumbo-Size Glass?
To meet the demands of modern, minimalist architecture, we process jumbo-size glass up to [Insert Max Width, e.g., 3,200 mm] × [Insert Max Length, e.g., 18,000 mm] for tempered, laminated, and insulated configurations. Please contact our engineering team to review the structural load calculations for oversized panels.
What international quality standards and certifications do your products meet?
Our architectural glass is fully certified for global markets, complying with:
North America: SGCC (ANSI Z97.1 / CAN/CGSB 12.1) for safety glazing, and IGCC/IGMA (ASTM E2190) for insulating glass.
Europe: CE Mark (EN 12150, EN 14449, EN 1279).
Australia/New Zealand: AS/NZS 2208, AS/NZS 4666.
How do you minimize the risk of spontaneous tempered glass breakage?
We drastically reduce the risk of spontaneous breakage caused by Nickel Sulfide (NiS) inclusions by offering Heat Soak Testing (HST) in strict accordance with EN 14179-1. We highly recommend HST for all fully tempered glass installed in high-rise facades, spandrels, and overhead glazing.
Can your Low-E insulating glass units (IGUs) help our project achieve LEED or BREEAM certification?
Yes, absolutely. We process world-class, high-performance soft-coat Low-E glass (offering single, double, and triple-silver coatings). We optimize the U-value (Ug) and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC / g-value) to drastically reduce the building’s HVAC energy consumption, helping you maximize carbon-reduction points for LEED, BREEAM, or Passive House certifications.
Do you fabricate certified Bird-Friendly glass to meet local US/EU regulations?
Yes. To comply with local ordinances (such as New York City’s Local Law 15 or Toronto’s Green Standard), we fabricate bird-safe glass utilizing the industry-standard “2×4 Rule”. Options include permanent UV-reflective patterns, ceramic frit dots/lines, and acid-etched designs that warn birds while maintaining indoor visual comfort.
What are the advantages of using SentryGlas® (SGP) instead of traditional PVB for laminated glass?
SGP is 5 times stronger and up to 10 times stiffer than traditional PVB interlayers. It is the premier choice for:
Hurricane/Typhoon Zones: Superior impact and wind-load resistance.
Structural Glazing: Ideal for glass balustrades, glass fins, and floors where post-breakage residual strength is life-critical.
Open-Edge Applications: Excellent moisture resistance that prevents edge delamination over decades of outdoor exposure.
