SGT Shines at AstanaBuild 2026: Showcasing Cutting-Edge Glass Solutions for Global Landmarks

From April 28 to 30, 2026, Guangdong HAIKONG Special Glass Technology Co., Ltd. (SGT) successfully participated in the 26th Kazakhstan International Construction and Interior Exhibition — AstanaBuild 2026, held in the capital city of Astana. As one of the most influential construction industry platforms in Central Asia, the exhibition provided an exceptional opportunity for SGT to present its advanced architectural glass solutions to an international audience.

This year, AstanaBuild 2026 brought together 95 companies from 8 countries, including Kazakhstan, China, the UAE, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and South Korea. Over the three-day event, a total of 3,819 industry professionals visited the exhibition, confirming the growing interest in the Central Asian construction market. The presence of a national exposition from China, with an exhibition stand dedicated to glass processing featuring SGT among its leading participants, positioned the country as a dominant force in the region‘s construction material supply chain.

Spotlight on SGT’s Premium Glass Products

At the heart of SGT‘s exhibition stand stood two remarkable products that captured the attention of visitors: a four-glass two-cavity laminated smart glass unit and six panels of 1000mm × 1500mm digital printed glass.

Four-Glass Two-Cavity Laminated Smart Glass: Transparency Meets Privacy on Demand

SGT’s four-glass two-cavity laminated smart glass represents a significant advancement in architectural switchable glass technology. This sophisticated unit integrates four layers of tempered glass with two sealed air cavities and a PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) smart film laminated between the glass plies inside the IGU structure. With the touch of a button, the glass instantly transitions between transparent and opaque states, offering on-demand privacy without the need for blinds, curtains, or other visual obstructions. With growing demand for adaptive workspaces, glass partitions equipped with PDLC technology now produce an opaque, milky white state ideal for conference rooms and offices.

When combined with advanced interlayer technologies such as SentryGlas® (SGP) and ceramic frit printing, the unit delivers enhanced safety, structural performance, and design versatility. The integration of PDLC technology into an IGU not only provides instant switchable privacy but also contributes to building energy efficiency. This premium smart glass solution is designed for high-end architectural applications including executive office partitions, luxury hotel suites, medical facility consultation rooms, and residential smart home glazing.

Digital Printed Glass: Six Panels, Six Global Landmarks

The six digital printed glass panels (1000mm × 1500mm each), produced using advanced digital ceramic printing technology, served as both an aesthetic highlight and a powerful testament to SGT‘s global project portfolio. With digital ceramic printing, ceramic frit inks are digitally applied and permanently fused into the glass surface during the tempering process, resulting in scratch‑proof, UV‑stable, and weather‑resistant imagery that cannot be damaged by cleaning or environmental exposure. Featuring the artworks of six iconic global landmarks where SGT supplied high-performance glass, the panels effectively demonstrated the company’s proven track record in delivering world-class glazing:

Landmark Project Significance
Australia 108 (Melbourne) Southern Hemisphere‘s tallest residential tower at 319 meters and 100 stories; a landmark architectural achievement in Australia, clad entirely in a glass curtain wall
Dubai W Hotel Luxury hotel within Dubai’s prestigious financial district, demanding premium glass to withstand the region‘s extreme desert climate while delivering acoustic comfort and thermal insulation
Australia Tower 11 (Sydney) High‑rise commercial tower in Sydney’s central business district, utilizing advanced glazing to maximize daylight while minimizing solar heat gain
Shenzhen Universiade Center Iconic multi‑venue sports complex built for the 2011 Summer Universiade, featuring extensive curved and laminated glass installations
Tokyo Tokyu Plaza High‑end retail destination in Tokyo‘s Omotesando district, showcasing distinctive architectural glass that blends contemporary design with functional performance
Xiamen AVIC Zijin Plaza Landmark mixed‑use development in Xiamen’s central business district, featuring premium curtain wall glazing and high‑performance insulating glass units

By displaying high-resolution prints of these landmark projects directly on the glass panels, SGT demonstrated the exceptional print quality, color fidelity, and durability of its digital ceramic printing technology—capabilities that have earned the company a place on the world‘s most prestigious architectural projects.

SGT: The Manufacturing Power Behind the Performance

Behind SGT’s ability to deliver complex, high‑performance glass solutions lies a formidable production infrastructure. The company operates five toughened glass lines, including a 16-meter flat and curved tempering line capable of producing jumbo-sized curved glass panels with advanced synchronized roller‑way formation technology. Its four laminated glass lines can process panels up to 3200mm × 13000mm, accommodating the largest architectural glazing demands. Additionally, SGT operates three insulating glass linestwo digital printing glass machines, and a CNC machining center.

SGT‘s products have been exported to more than 60 countries and regions across Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Africa, and Oceania, including demanding markets such as Australia, the USA, Germany, Japan, and the UAE. The company holds key international certifications including ISO90013C (China)CE (Europe), and AS/NZS 2208 (Australia/New Zealand) , providing architects and developers with the assurance of globally recognized quality standards.

Looking Ahead: SGT’s Commitment to Central Asia

SGT’s participation in AstanaBuild 2026 marks a strategic step in deepening its presence in the Central Asian market. With Kazakhstan‘s construction sector undergoing rapid modernization and digital transformation, there is growing demand for high‑performance architectural glass that combines safety, energy efficiency, and design flexibility.

SGT’s showcase of advanced laminated smart glass and digital printed glass demonstrated the company‘s readiness to supply its premium solutions for Astana’s iconic new developments and Kazakhstan‘s broader infrastructure growth. The positive reception from visitors at the exhibition reaffirms that SGT—backed by its state‑of‑the‑art production lines and a proven portfolio of global landmark deliveries—is well‑positioned to become a trusted glass partner for architects, developers, and contractors across the region.
