Fulton Street Transit Center New York | SGT Public Transit Glass Project Case Study
Fulton Street Transit Center, New York | Large-Span Dome & Curtain Wall Glass Project by SGT
SGT completed the supply of large-area architectural glass for Fulton Street Transit Center, a landmark public transportation hub located in downtown New York. As a trusted global special glass manufacturer, we customized high-strength insulated glass for the building’s exterior curtain wall and iconic geometric dome, fully complying with New York’s strict public building safety, wind load and daylighting standards.
This transit landmark adopts integrated insulated tempered laminated glass for both vertical facades and curved dome roof. The composite glass structure delivers three core strengths: high impact resistance for crowded public spaces, superior thermal insulation to reduce HVAC energy consumption, and high light transmittance to create bright, comfortable indoor waiting areas. All panels passed full photothermal testing with our Lambda 1050+ spectrometer before delivery.
The Fulton Street Transit Center project demonstrates SGT’s mature capability to handle large-scale public transit infrastructure glazing projects. We provide one-stop custom glass design, production and quality inspection services for subway hubs, railway stations and transportation landmarks worldwide, with complete testing equipment to guarantee all glass meets international construction standards.
