Tokyo Midtown features Semi-Bent Tempered LOW-E Laminated Glass as its core curtain wall material, which is key to creating the modernity and energy efficiency of this 248-meter super high-rise complex.

Semi-Bent Tempered LOW-E Laminated Glass: The semi-bent tempering process precisely shapes smooth curved surfaces that perfectly fit the building’s streamlined facade, creating a stretch and modern urban landmark form. The LOW-E coating effectively reflects solar radiation, significantly reducing summer cooling loads. The laminated structure enhances impact resistance and safety, holding glass fragments securely in place if damaged to provide reliable protection for super high-rise public buildings.

Balance of Performance & Aesthetics: The glass’s high transparency ensures ample natural daylighting, while its low reflectivity avoids light pollution. The semi-bent profile and soft reflectivity of the LOW-E coating create a transparent, layered visual effect against Tokyo’s blue sky, enhancing the landmark identity of the city.

The entire glass system combines safety protection, energy-saving heat insulation and architectural aesthetics, perfectly aligning with Tokyo Midtown’s positioning as a core urban complex.
