Australia Shadow Play
Project Location: Melbourne, Australia
Building Height: 145 meters
Glass Configuration: LOW-E Insulating Glass
Architectural Design: Elenberg Fraser
The facade of Australia Shadow Play features LOW-E Insulating Glass, a core material that brings the tower’s “dynamic light and shadow” design concept to life.
Climate Adaptability: The LOW-E coating effectively reflects solar radiation, and when paired with the insulating air cavity, it significantly reduces summer cooling loads in Melbourne while minimizing winter heat loss, adapting to the region’s distinct seasonal climate.
Alignment with Design Vision: The glass’s high reflectivity clearly mirrors Melbourne’s skyline and cloud movements, creating a dynamic “shadow play” effect that shifts with light conditions, perfectly echoing the project’s name and thematic design.
Balance of Function & Experience: The insulating air cavity effectively dampens urban noise, creating a tranquil living environment for residential spaces. Meanwhile, the high visible light transmission ensures ample natural daylighting, seamlessly connecting interiors with the city landscape.
