Project Name: Centro Direzionale UnipolSai
Project Location: Milan, Italy
Glass Area: 17,000 ㎡
Glass Configuration: Irregular Heat-Strengthened Laminated Glass
Building Height: 124 meters
Architectural Design: Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects

The facade of Unipol Tower adopts Irregular Heat-Strengthened Laminated Glass, which is the core curtain wall product to realize the building’s unique curved shape and modern business landmark temperament.

The customized irregular process perfectly fits the smooth curved and inclined facade of the tower, making the glass panels precisely match the external steel structure grid of the building, creating a highly sculptural overall outline.

Heat-strengthened glass has good flatness, wind pressure resistance and thermal stability, avoiding tempering stress spots to ensure a pure and transparent visual effect of the facade, suitable for the high-end business architectural image in the core urban area of Milan.

The laminated structure uses high-strength interlayer, which can firmly adhere to glass fragments when broken, eliminating the risk of falling from high altitude and meeting the strict safety standards of super high-rise public buildings.

At the same time, the laminated interlayer effectively blocks noise and weakens ultraviolet rays, providing a quiet, comfortable and stable indoor environment for the internal office space.

It combines aesthetic expression, structural safety and long-term durability, and is highly integrated with the modern and avant-garde design of the building.
