1. Material & Craftsmanship
The outer layer is 6mm-thick low-iron tempered glass with a silver mirror fritted striped pattern, and the inner layer is 6mm glass. This design reduces heat loss and prevents condensation.
The low-iron property of the glass ensures color neutrality and high transparency, while the fritted stripes deliver both reflective and semi-transparent effects simultaneously.

2. Visual Effect
The vertical mirror fritted stripes reflect the sky, the Chugach Mountains and urban landscapes. As the light changes in Alaska, the exterior facade presents rich visual layers.
This semi-transparent glass design not only floods the interior with abundant natural light but also allows faint views of the activities inside the museum from the outside, creating an open and transparent atmosphere.

3. Climate Adaptability
A 1-foot-deep heated buffer zone is designed between the glass curtain wall and the internal space. This structure effectively resists severe cold and prevents the glass from fogging or icing at low temperatures.
Approximately 25% of the curtain wall area features a fully transparent design, which further enhances the visual connection between the building and the surrounding environment.
