The facade of Andaz Shenzhen Bay features Ultra-Clear LOW-E Insulating Glass with SGP Lamination, a core material engineered to suit Shenzhen’s coastal climate and the demands of a luxury hotel.
Ultra-Clear Glass Substrate: The ultra-clear glass offers exceptional transparency and low iron content, allowing ample, soft natural light into interior spaces while providing unobstructed views of Shenzhen Bay’s urban and sea landscapes, enhancing the hotel’s luxurious visual experience.
LOW-E Insulating Structure: The LOW-E coating effectively reflects solar radiation, and when paired with the insulating air cavity, it significantly reduces summer cooling loads and minimizes winter heat loss, adapting to Shenzhen’s hot, rainy climate for year-round energy efficiency.
SGP Lamination for Safety: The SGP interlayer has over 5 times the tear resistance of standard PVB film, holding glass fragments securely in place if damaged to prevent falling debris risks, providing reliable protection for this 259-meter high-rise hotel. Its excellent weather resistance also withstands coastal salt spray, ensuring long-term facade stability.
Balance of Vision & Function: The glass’s low reflectivity minimizes light pollution, while the ultra-clear substrate and high transparency of the SGP film create a pure, refined facade that blends seamlessly with Shenzhen Bay’s modern urban landscape.
