The Main Gymnasium of Shenzhen Universiade Center served as the main venue for the 2011 World University Games. It is a multi-purpose stadium integrating badminton, gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, indoor short-track speed skating competitions, cultural and recreational activities.

The gymnasium covers a total area of 73,761 square meters, featuring a full glass curtain wall with a unique and distinctive appearance, resembling a huge crystal.The glass curtain wall adopts various types of triangular energy-saving XIR film laminated glass. While maintaining a visible light transmittance of over 70%, the building reduces solar heat transmittance to below 40%. It effectively blocks infrared radiation in the solar spectrum and insulates heat, thus achieving outstanding energy conservation and environmental protection effects.
