Mirrae Asset Building

Mirrae Asset Building

Project Name: Mirrae Asset Building
Project Location: Seoul, South Korea
Glass Configuration: LOW-E Insulating Glass, Curved Laminated LOW-E Insulating Glass
Glass Area: 6,000 ㎡

The facade of the Mirrae Asset Building features a combination of LOW-E Insulating Glass and Curved Laminated LOW-E Insulating Glass, engineered to suit Seoul’s climate and the identity of a modern financial landmark.

LOW-E Insulating Glass: The LOW-E coating effectively reflects solar radiation, and when paired with the insulating air cavity, it significantly reduces summer cooling energy consumption. It also maintains high visible light transmission to ensure ample natural daylighting, balancing energy efficiency and occupant comfort across Seoul’s distinct seasons.

Curved Laminated LOW-E Insulating Glass: The heat-bending process precisely follows the building’s curved corners, creating a soft visual transition for its otherwise sharp, geometric form.
The laminated PVB interlayer enhances impact resistance and safety, holding glass fragments in place if damaged to provide reliable protection for this high-rise financial building.

Visual Impact: The glass’s high reflectivity clearly mirrors Seoul’s skyline and cloud movements, creating a dynamic mirror effect on the facade. This reinforces the modern identity of the financial landmark, while the LOW-E coating minimizes light pollution to the surrounding urban environment.
